Scientist Knowledge Translation Training
Jasper, Alberta. May 27-28, 2010

In Canada and abroad, a growing emphasis is being placed upon the utilization and impact of health research. Scientists are increasingly required to include knowledge transfer plans in their research grant proposals, ensuring that their research is reaching appropriate audiences, and having a positive impact on decision making.

This workshop is designed to provide research scientists with essential KT training in six areas: placing KT within the context of social/political/research communities; evidence-based KT and evaluation strategies; developing KT plans for research; communicating with multiple audiences; utilizing the media for KT; and communicating with policy makers.

The Scientist Knowledge Translation Training (SKTT) workshop is available on its own, and in conjunction with the Making Connection Conference, May 30 – June 1, 2010.

For more information, and to register, please visit the Making Connections Conference Website
