About RTNA

Who We Are

The Research Transfer Network of Alberta (RTNA) is a province-wide network of people interested and engaged in health research transfer.

The RTNAs goal is to strengthen the use of research findings to improve health policy and practices in Alberta by:

  • Enhancing the abilities of health professionals to do research transfer.
  • Fostering partnerships and mentorships to contribute to health research transfer.
  • Exchanging knowledge and expertise on health research transfer with provincial and national organizations.

Membership is free and the benefits are numerous. As a member, you can attend RTNA Watercooler sessions, lectures, workshops and conferences; join a working group to help shape the future of the network; network with other members; or apply for sponsorship to attend selected research transfer workshops and conferences being offered across Canada.

Many industries other than the healthcare industry have an impact on health, such as education and transportation. Everyone with an interest in improving health and health care is welcome and encouraged to join.
