AHFMR will
contribute toward covering the costs of travel and accommodation related to the
recruitment of potential Heritage investigators.
- For the first visit: travel and accommodation is funded by
AHFMR through the Visiting Lecturer grants provided to the Alberta
institutions.
- For the second visit, assuming the host institution intends to sponsor
the individual for an AHFMR faculty level award: travel and
accommodation for the applicant and spouse, a per diem allowance (up
to $125.00 per day), and entertainment expenses (up to $200) will be
covered by AHFMR. Air travel should be economy class and the visit should
last no longer than 4 days.
- If the application for an AHFMR award is successful,
AHFMR will cover travel and accommodation expenses for a third visit (if necessary) for the awardee and the spouse (if the latter did not participate in the second visit). Air travel
should be economy class and the visit should last no longer than 4 days.
No entertainment expenses will be allowed.
AHFMR will reimburse expenses through the host institution upon
receipt of appropriate documentation.
AHFMR will contribute toward defraying the relocation costs of successful
applicants for Heritage Investigator awards according to the policy of
the host institution. AHFMR will reimburse the host institution upon
receipt of appropriate documentation.
Faculties sponsoring successful first-time Heritage Investigators may receive a contribution
toward covering the cost of renovations. This contribution will normally be made at the
time of recruitment and will be provided as an allocation based on the total amount of the Establishment grants provided by AHFMR to the sponsoring faculty.
Although AHFMR provides funds to the sponsoring institution for
renovations, its contribution will not exceed 75% of the estimated
or actual cost (whichever is less) of the work involved in any given renovation project.
