AHFMR's commitment to maintaining Alberta's lead in medical and health research results in the support of hundreds of trainees each year, providing them with experience in top labs. These researchers-in-training represent a new generation of highly talented and motivated scientists.

Expert committees review the applications to AHFMR programs, and recommend awards only after the candidates have passed rigorous standards of international excellence.
