The Community Research Ethics Board of Alberta (CREBA) provides review of health research being conducted in any region, organization or authority that does not have a duly constituted health research ethics board and process.

CREBA is a multi-disciplinary committee with members from both rural and urban Alberta communities across the province. CREBA is constituted in accordance with the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS) and is committed to adherence with this statement. Information about this statement and other related issues can be found at the Interagency Advisory Panel of Research Ethics (PRE), a body of external experts created to advise on the evolution, interpretation, implementation and educational needs of the TCPS. For more information about CREBA see the Terms of Reference.
