Pre-conference Workshop

Scientist Knowledge Translation Training
May 27 & 28, 2010, Jasper Park Lodge, Jasper Alberta

In Canada and abroad, a growing emphasis is being placed upon the utilization and impact of health research. Scientists are increasingly required to include knowledge transfer plans in their research grant proposals, ensuring that their research is reaching appropriate audiences, and having a positive impact on decision making.

Dr. Melanie Barwick Ph.D.C.Psych., and Dr. Donna Lockett Ph.D. will lead an intensive two-day workshop designed to provide health researchers with the essential skills needed to plan knowledge translation strategies.

Registration is limited to 25 participants so register early. The cost of $250 + GST includes breakfast, lunch and supper on May 27, and breakfast and lunch on May 28, 2010.

Workshop times: May 27 & 28: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Registrants are responsible for their own accommodation arrangements and costs. The rate of $169/night + taxes at the Jasper Park is available for the dates of May 26, 27, 28 and through to May 31 if you choose to stay on for the Making Connections 2010 conference (May 30-June 1, 2010).
