Communications and Education

AHFMR’s Communications and Education department acts as a bridge between the health research community and the public.

Using such tools as the web, publications, and work with the media, AHFMR tells stories—communicating the results of its ongoing investment in health research to Albertans and people around the world.

Education and Community Outreach Program

The Education and Community Outreach (ECO) Program goes a step further and helps make Albertans PART of the health research story. ECO programming includes workshops and programs that give students and teachers hands-on experiences in research labs, as well as an initiative that explains the science portrayed in popular cinema while providing a venue for the general public to learn about current research.
