What is HYRS?

HYRS stands for Heritage Youth Researcher Summer (HYRS) Program. Developed and funded by the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research (AHFMR), HYRS is modelled on some features of the on-going WISEST Summer Research Program at the University of Alberta (U of A).

Are you a Grade 11 high school student in Alberta who loves science?

HYRS offers a hands-on research experience at a provincial university to 45 exceptional Grade 11 students who have at least an 85% standing in grade 11 math and sciences. Learn about the research world and the exciting careers in this field.
